S*T*A*R is a registered non-profit educational amateur astronomy society located in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Membership is open to anyone interested in any area of astronomy. See the Details section for more information.

S*T*A*R is a member of
the Astronomical League and
the International Dark Sky
Association (IDA).
Meetings are the first Thursday of each month, except July and August,
at 8:00 PM at Monmouth Museum
in Lincroft, NJ.
Meeting generally consist of lectures and discussion by members or
guest speakers on a variety of interesting astronomical topics.
Program content is balanced so that both novices and more experienced
members can benefit from the meetings.
Each meeting is followed by an informal social hour and, when weather
permits, observing.
In addition to its regular meetings, the club conducts observation
nights each month during which members and visitors can enjoy an
evening of stargazing.
If you'd like to join, just fill out an application form and mail it in
or bring it to the next meeting.

astronomy.
S*T*A*R also has a newsletter, called the
the Spectrogram,
which you can view on-line.
